Tuesday, March 2 is World Teen Mental Wellness Day, and it's a good reminder to check in with our teens and keiki in our lives.

Living808 talks about Keiki Mental Health on today's Keiki Corner segment.

Haylin is a therapist, parent and owner of Spill the Tea Cafe, an inclusive mental health clinic for teens. I asked her all my questions about parenting (I had A LOT, sorry and thank you Haylin!). She shared about her journey learning to support her transgender child, and opened up about what inspired her passion for her work as a therapist, and her experience getting therapy for herself.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. It's a time to remind everyone about the importance of taking care of their mental health. And not just adults. It's also important for teens. Haylin Dennison, owner of Spill the Tea Cafe, joined Wake Up 2day to talk about her spot, that helps adults and adolescents navigate the challenges of mental health. Here is more about the cafe, located on Queen Street in Honolulu, according to its website:: Spill The Tea Cafe (STTC) is a inclusive mental health clinic focused on adolescents. Teenagers are particularly vulnerable to mental health challenges due to the unique social, emotional, and developmental challenges they face. STTC is a specialized healthcare facility that aims to provide comprehensive and evidence-based treatment and support to adolescents struggling with mental health issues. The goal of STTC is to promote the mental health and well-being of adolescents by providing accessible, compassionate, and personalized care. At STTC, adolescents may receive a range of services, including individual and group therapy, mentorship, care coordination, and psychoeducation, to address their specific needs and preferences. We also offer support to families and caregivers, as well as community resources and referrals, to help adolescents and their loved ones navigate the challenges of mental health and achieve lasting recovery and resilience. By addressing the unique needs of pre-teens, teens, LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent keiki and providing a supportive environment for their healing and growth, STTC helps teens build the skills and resilience they need to thrive and reach their full potential.

Local teen mental health center, Spill The Tea Cafe is providing high school students a safe location to seek therapy with Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Haylin Dennison.

Spill the Tea Cafe (STTC), founded by Haylin Dennison, is making a difference in the lives of local teens by providing a safe, inclusive space focused on adolescent mental health. As a licensed clinical social worker and mental health activist, Dennison launched STTC to address the unique social, emotional, and developmental challenges teenagers face today. New Honolulu cafe offers drinks and group therapy for teens

There's a mental health crisis for America's young people, according to many medical experts. A new nonprofit therapy space, Spill the Tea Cafe, opening in Kakaako next week hopes to address that. KITV4's Diane Ako talks to the owner about her effort to help Oahu's teens.
